Marcia Coppel’s new paintings in “Life is Too Serious 2” incite smiling in spite of the current problems in our lives. Rich colors prevail. She continues to be inspired by the people and landscape of Mexico and with communication, isolation, and healing. In one painting a green figure relaxes in an umbrella above our heads.  In another, a red woman with blond hair chats with a green figure who is sitting on a chair in the sky.  In yet another painting, a group of colorful figures stand on top of, below, and behind semitransparent umbrellas.
